Audra and I decided that it would be fun to head on up to Rocky Mountain National Park and take a hike with Eva. The park is so close and we really haven't taken advantage of it. So, we took a 2 mile stroll up to Emerald lake. It was pretty nice but very crowded. Unfortunately, I decided to wear my new boots (see an earlier post for a picture) to try and break them in. This was not a good decision. My heels were shredded and I had blisters the size of a quarter on each foot.
Here I am with Eva. That's the back side of Long's Peak in the background. The views in the park are spectacular from any angle.
Audra was happy she didn't have to carry Eva on her back. Eva was happy she didn't have to look at the back of Daddy's head any longer.
The two cute girlies.
We've had a good summer thus far. Eva has enjoyed many pool trips, I have enjoyed many naps, and Audra has enjoyed changing Eva's diapers (I try to make her change the poopy ones).
Spriggy teaching Eva how to do the dog-paddle.
Eva and cousin Sophie at Water World. They're best friends.
This is Eva's "Eve" picture. After all, her name is a derivative.
Oh yeah, did I mention that Eva had her first birthday today? One year old and a total handful. Love you Eva!!
