Pomp and Circumstance

What the heck does that mean? I bet I could figure it out with Google. Oh well.

As many of you know, I'm currently completing my Master's degree at CSU in biomedical sciences. Technically I don't graduate until August but my classes are finished and the department strongly encouraged all of us to go through the motions and walk last Friday. The ceremony was extremely long and terribly boring, as most graduations are. Although I do remember attending a high school graduation where a bird was pooping on the graduates as he flew over. He certainly stole the show.

This time there would be no pooping of any kind (except for maybe some older folks in the stands). We did manage to get some good pictures...not of pooping, but of Eva. I think I've filled my quota for the word "poop" in this post.

Eva looks quite thrilled and excited to be there.

This one's a little better.

I do regret that I didn't get any pictures of the cool features of my robe. That green and yellow thing around my neck is the hood. Someone told me that when they hand you the diploma (nothing was in there) they pull that hood up over your head. Then we'd look like we were in some sort of secret society cult, kind of like those people that wear those Snuggie blanket things.

My robe also featured Harry Potter sleeves. Kind of like this guy, but my finger nails aren't quite as good looking. Link

Anyway, it feels good to be close to done. I have to take my comprehensive finals this coming week. Then dental school comes this fall. But I hear that's a cake walk, so I'm set.
